Working at DMI

We are a small engineering consulting company, and we operate in a creative, cooperative, and casual work environment.  We encourage a collaborative approach to project strategy development and problem solving.  Members of our team possess a variety of specialized skills and levels of experience, affording junior engineers the opportunity to serve as an invaluable resource while learning from senior and veteran mentors. While frequency varies depending on the project, an average of one day per week is spent out of the office in the field, offering the opportunity for hands-on learning as well as experience interacting with the customer.

Benefits

DMI offers a comprehensive set of benefits, including paid vacation and sick time, health, dental, and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer contributions, and a Flexible Spending Account. We also offer a casual work environment that is convenient to transportation options and local amenities. As part of our commitment to sustainability, DMI offers its employees T passes (public transit) at subsidized rates.

Co-op Opportunities

Through its co-op program, DMI enhances the educational experience of students seeking to enter the professional field of engineering. DMI has a decades-long partnership with Northeastern University and provides invaluable learning opportunities to its students; DMI also accepts co-op applications from engineering students from other schools across the country. Co-ops must be able to complete a six month in-person internship period; sessions run from January-June and July-December.
